MEENA’S

Tone of Voice and Digital

The Meena’s range is all about capturing the atmosphere and regional flavour of faraway places and authentic local dishes.

The tone of voice for the digital launch needed to convey both Meena’s passion and personality, but also her love for flavours and spices, brought to life in her premium range of sauces and condiments.

Welcome!

So you’ve found my home of fragrant herbs and spices – I’d love for you to come inside and explore. If you’re anything like me, you’ll enjoy discovering new ideas and flavours.

My passion for travel and food has taken me all around the world and each time I visit somewhere new, I’m inspired to create a dish that captures the essence of my surroundings. It’s like bringing a memory home.

Each of my recipes has been influenced by one of my favourite journeys. Over the years, I’ve become familiar with some vividly authentic global cuisines so this is my way of bringing them alive for you to cook at home. Every time you open a jar, the aroma and atmosphere of a region should awaken the senses and transport you there. It’s like having the world in your kitchen.

Enjoy tasting and travelling with me,

 Meena

My travel diary

The Meena’s range is all about capturing the atmosphere and regional flavour of faraway places and in my search for authentic local dishes, I like to spend time really getting to know the finer flavours of local cuisine. That way, I can learn about the history and culture behind a meal before bringing it to life in my own way. I’m also inspired by the sights, sounds and scents on my travels and seek to capture the essence of these experiences in my cooking.

Taste travels…

…in Delhi

A feast for the senses, Delhi pulls one in and refuses to let go. Under the graceful watch of the imposing Agra Fort, this fast-moving city is an exciting cacophony of cultural contrasts. It may often feel overwhelming but there are seductive powers at work here too.

 …in Liguria

In the 30 years I’ve been travelling here, Italy has bewitched me. High above the aquamarine Mediterranean, Liguria looks as pretty as a picture and, to me, like one huge, natural market stall. There are terraced hillsides of silver-white olive groves, rocky seaside coves and lush forests filled with scented lemon trees.

 …in Provence

It’s easy to feel hungry in Provence. There’s just something in the air here and of course, the abundance of beautiful produce makes cooking so easy. A cycle ride through mauve lavender fields to the next village yields a bottle of wine from local vines, yellow honey and handfuls of fresh thyme and oregano.

 …in Bangkok

I love the Thai greeting “Gin khao ru yang?” which means ‘Have you eaten?” and generally serves as a way of enquiring after one’s well-being, rather than whether one has had lunch. Infused with the bright, light scents of lemongrass, sweet basil, chilli, ginger and garlic, Bangkok’s street carts bring my tastebuds alive.
